Advice on administration via enteral tube
Current resources suggest that it is likely to be safe to crush tablets and administer via enteral feeding tubes. Stop the enteral feed before administration. The should be tablets crushed, mixed with 15-30 mL of water and drawn up with a 50mL enteral syringe. Flush the feeding tube with water before and after administration of the medication. No break in feeding is required after the medication has been administered.
