Advice on administration via enteral tube
Current resources suggest that it is likely to be safe to administer crushed tablets via enteral feeding tubes. Stop the enteral feed before administration. Crush the tablet and mix with 15-30mL of water. Draw up the solution into a 50mL enteral syringe then administer via enteral feeding tube. Flush the feeding tube with water before and after administration of the medication. No break in feeding is required after the medication has been administered.

Safe or appropriate to crush
Crushing or dispersing should always be used as a last resort but current text books and resources suggest it is likely to be safe. Disperse the tablet in water immediately prior to administration. Clinicians should be aware that this is an unlicensed use of the medication.
