Advice on administration via enteral tube
Current resources suggest that it is likely to be safe to open capsules and administer contents via enteral feeding tubes. Stop the enteral feed before administration. The capsules should be opened and the contents mixed with 15-30 mL of water and drawn up with an enteral syringe. Flush the feeding tube with water before and after administration of the medication. No break in feeding is required after the medication has been administered.
