Advice on administration via enteral tube
Current resources suggest that it is likely to be safe to administer via enteral feeding tubes. The tablets should be crushed then mixed with 15-30mL of glucose 5%. This mixture should then be drawn up into a 50mL enteral syringe and administered via the enteral feeding tube. Stop the enteral feed before administration. Flush the feeding tube with water before and after administration of the medication. No break in feeding is required after the medication has been administered.
